Mit der Verabschiedung des Cannabisgesetzes (CanG) im März 2024 rückt Cannabis verstärkt in den öffentlichen Fokus und beflügelt das Wachstum eines seit 2017 stetig wachsenden Medizinalcannabismarktes. Apotheken spielen eine Schlüsselrolle in der Versorgung und Beratung von Patienten sowie Ärzten. Durch die Reklassifizierung von Cannabis wird eine signifikante Hürde für Verschreiber abgebaut. Anstatt über Betäubungsmittelrezepte kann Medizinalcannabis nun auf Grundlage von Muster 16 Rezepten und E-Rezepten verordnet werden. Experten prognostizieren eine Verdoppelung des Marktes in den nächsten zwei Jahren.
Chancen für Vor-Ort-Apotheken
Dies eröffnet Apotheken eine ausgezeichnete Gelegenheit, in die Versorgung ihrer Patienten vor Ort zu investieren. Aktuell beziehen viele Patienten ihre Medikation online, weil ihre bevorzugte Vor-Ort-Apotheke oft kein Medizinalcannabis führt.
