In 2026, it is important to distinguish between specialised medical cannabis conferences and established medical congresses in which medical cannabis is not the sole focus, but increasingly addressed as a relevant component within specific therapeutic areas, particularly pain and palliative care.

Against this backdrop, a distinction must be made between dedicated medical cannabis congresses and medical conferences where medical cannabis is expected to form part of the programme.
